Cox recently sold their Arkansas operations to something called Sudden Link. Operates as if it were “Sudden Stink”

So, y’all change my e-mail address to read gah333br@suddenlink.net

We’re looking forward to the 45th reunion and thank God for whomever decided on holding it in October. I’m just hoping it won’t be early in the month as I’m looking to being in South Dakota on 10/08/07.

We moved to Arkansas in March 2000 and we plan to stay put. The attached photo taken two weekends ago is one of the prime reasons we love it here.

See ya next year.

Fellow Alumni,

My husband, Larry, and I found a nice relaxed village off the coast of San Diego a few years ago that is MUCH cooler in the summer than in Dallas, so we started spending our summers there. It seems we couldn’t “just be there.” A residential lot, with a house that was “ready to go,” became available in a lovely neighborhood there, which is a rarity. We rationalized that we could build a new house there that would be a positive contribution to the neighborhood, a good investment and have an art project for me all at the same time. A little over two years and MANY learning experiences later, I am elated to report that we have sold the house to a wonderful family who “fell in love with it and wants to make it a part of their family history!” It was a most fulfilling experience so I thought I would tell you about it and send a few pictures along so that you can see how things came together at the end.

Also, I’m sure many of you remember Jay Johnson, the ventriloquist who was on Soap years ago. He is from Richardson, but has lived in Los Angeles with his family since the ’70’s. He has had a long and successful career and now has a show on Broadway called: Jay Johnson - The Two and Only! We have been good friends for years and just couldn’t let this triumph of his pass without showing our support. So we went to his show in NYC in Oct. (I included a couple of pictures of Time Square „ it’s as crazy as ever.) It was wonderful entertainment: I laughed and cried! I highly recommend it!

We are very happy to be home in Dallas now and not to travel for a while. The holidays are going to be AT HOME for us! I hope that they are the best ever for you, wherever they are!!!

Enjoy the moment,
Alice Vennum Schear
